The Hunter for the first Xbox generation
This Hunter is designed for original Xbox hardware and also supports Nintendo Switch and PC. Its asymmetrical dual-stick layout includes the original Xbox’s black and white shoulder-button functions. It should not be confused with Hunter 360: that separate model targets Xbox 360 and PC, while this version includes a receiver for the larger original-Xbox controller port.
Magnetic sensing and pressure-aware inputs
Hall Effect technology is used for both the analog sticks and analog triggers. The controller also includes pressure-sensitive buttons, premium textured grips, and wireless rumble. Together those details address Xbox games that rely on analog trigger travel, variable face-button input, or frequent stick movement rather than treating the system as a generic modern USB platform.
Two receivers and a rechargeable battery
Retro Fighters lists both an original-Xbox receiver and a USB-A receiver for Switch and PC use. Wireless range is rated at more than 30 feet and battery life at more than ten hours per charge. USB-C handles recharging. The original-Xbox receiver is the decisive difference from Hunter 360, which serves the later Xbox 360 platform instead.
