Two models, one library
Sony launched the Vita in North America in 2012 with the PCH-1000, which has a 5-inch OLED screen and a proprietary charging port. The PCH-2000 followed in 2014 with a slimmer body, an LCD screen, a micro USB port and 1 GB of built-in storage. This listing may be either model, and both play the same PS Vita game cards and digital purchases. Both have dual analog sticks, a rear touch pad, front and rear cameras, and Wi-Fi.

The Vita does its best work with games designed for its controls. Uncharted: Golden Abyss uses the touchscreen for climbing and the motion sensors for aiming. Can the PS Vita play PSP discs?
No. The Vita has no UMD drive, so PSP discs will not fit or play. It runs PS Vita game cards, which slot into the top edge of the system, along with games downloaded to a PS Vita memory card or the PCH-2000's internal storage.

PS Vita game cards are not region locked, so a US system can play imported cards. Digital purchases are tied to the region of the PlayStation Network account you sign in with. Menus and in-game text follow each game's own language.
