Kanto rebuilt for Game Boy Advance
The route from Pallet Town through eight Gyms and the Pokémon League follows the foundation of Pokémon Red while using updated graphics, abilities, natures, held items, and the modernized battle system of its generation. FireRed has its own encounter mix, so team-building differs from LeafGreen even though both versions share the same main map and story structure.
The Sevii Islands extend the adventure
A new island chain introduces extra routes, caves, quests, and Pokémon beyond the original Kanto path. Later tasks connect the region to trading with compatible third-generation games. Linked trading and battles require appropriate hardware and another compatible game. Some retail packages originally bundled a wireless adapter, but that accessory is not assumed in this loose-cartridge listing.
Original cartridge with one save file
This is the pre-owned loose FireRed Version cartridge for Game Boy Advance, not LeafGreen and not a Switch remake. Game progress is stored on the cartridge in one primary save file. FireRed does not depend on a real-time clock battery for ordinary saving. The game card is supplied without an assumed box, manual, adapter, cable, or handheld.
