Exploration through Samus’s visor

Metroid Prime translates the series into a first-person viewpoint without abandoning deliberate exploration. The Scan Visor records creatures, technology, Chozo lore, and Pirate data; the Thermal and X-Ray Visors reveal threats and routes ordinary sight misses. Lock-on movement keeps combat centered on positioning and weapon choice rather than mouse-style aiming.

A world built to be revisited

Tallon Overworld, Chozo Ruins, Magmoor Caverns, Phendrana Drifts, and the Phazon Mines connect through elevators and paths that open gradually. Beam types interact with matching doors and enemies, while the Morph Ball, bombs, Space Jump, Grapple Beam, and suit upgrades turn earlier obstacles into later routes. Optional missile tanks and energy tanks reward careful return trips.

Original GameCube control scheme

This pre-owned loose disc is the original GameCube release, not Metroid Prime Remastered for Switch. It uses the original GameCube control design and saves to a compatible GameCube memory card. The remaster can document the same world and core mechanics, but it does not make this optical disc compatible with Switch or replace the original control layout.
