The original journey with newer systems
Players begin in Pallet Town, challenge eight Kanto Gyms, confront Team Rocket, and reach the Pokémon League. LeafGreen updates the foundation with abilities, natures, held items, clearer menus, and the third-generation move system. Its version-specific Pokémon differ from FireRed, making the two cartridges complementary rather than identical.
Sevii Islands go beyond the first map
The added island chain introduces new routes, caves, quests, and encounters beyond the original Game Boy storyline. Later progress enables broader compatibility with other third-generation Pokémon games. Trading and battling require another compatible system, game, and appropriate link hardware. Any wireless adapter once sold in a retail bundle is separate from this loose cartridge.
Physical GBA cartridge with one save
This is the pre-owned loose LeafGreen Version game card for Game Boy Advance, not FireRed and not a Switch release. Progress is stored on the cartridge in one primary save file and does not require a real-time clock battery. No box, manual, adapter, cable, handheld, or second Pokémon version is included.
