Zeke, Julie and a squirt gun
You play as Zeke or Julie, two teenagers running through suburban backyards, hedge mazes, pyramids and castles to rescue neighbors before the monsters reach them. Each level shows how many victims are left to save, from cheerleaders and tourists to babies and soldiers. Weapons are household items: a squirt gun, soda can grenades, a weed whacker, silverware and popsicles, plus a bazooka that blasts through walls. Keys open locked doors, and a potion can turn you into a monster for a short time.
Fifty-five levels of monster movies
Each stage is named like a B movie, and the enemy list reads like a late-night creature feature: zombies, mummies, werewolves, giant ants, pod plants, blobs and a titanic toddler stomping through the level. The game runs 48 regular levels plus seven hidden bonus levels, and a four-letter password after every fourth level saves your spot. Two players share the screen, which speeds up rescues but also means you are both after the same first-aid kits. LucasArts developed it and Konami published it in 1993.
