Hector, Isaac and Dracula's curse
The story takes place in 1479, three years after Trevor Belmont defeated Dracula. Dracula's curse still spreads across Europe, and Hector, who once created Innocent Devils for Dracula, is drawn back into the fight when his rival Isaac has Rosaly, the woman Hector loved, condemned as a witch. Hector chases Isaac through places like the Abandoned Castle, Baljhet Mountains, Garibaldi Temple and Cordova Town, meeting the mysterious Saint Germain and crossing paths with Trevor himself along the way. Michiru Yamane's score carries the gothic mood of the series.
Innocent Devils and crafted weapons
Hector fights with weapons you craft from materials found or stolen from enemies, covering swords, axes, spears, knuckles and more, each with its own combo patterns. His companions are Innocent Devils, creatures he forges and raises. Fairy types heal, Battle types attack, Bird types help cross gaps, and Mage, Devil and Pumpkin types add spells and special abilities. Feeding them Evo Crystals from defeated enemies makes them evolve in different directions, so two playthroughs can end with very different partners. Finishing the game unlocks a mode where you play as Trevor.
