Racing Nitros Oxide for the planet
Nitros Oxide, a speed-obsessed alien, lands on Earth and threatens to pave the planet into a concrete parking lot unless someone beats him in a race. Crash, Coco, Cortex, Tiny Tiger, N. Gin, Dingodile, Polar and Pura answer the challenge. Adventure mode sends you through hubs like N. Sanity Beach, the Lost Ruins, Glacier Park and Citadel City, where you win trophies on tracks such as Crash Cove, Tiger Temple, Dingo Canyon and Cortex Castle, then face bosses like Ripper Roo, Papu Papu, Komodo Joe and Pinstripe before the final race against Oxide.
Power slides, Wumpa fruit and relic races
The core skill is the power slide. You hop into a drift, and tapping the opposite shoulder button at the right moment fires a boost, up to three in a row. Collecting ten Wumpa fruit juices up your weapons, so bowling bombs, missiles and the Aku Aku mask get stronger. Beyond the trophies, each track hides the letters C, T and R to collect, relic races put you against the clock with time crates, and crystal challenges ask you to gather crystals in battle arenas. Battle mode and split-screen racing round out the disc.
