The final Xbox 360 design
Microsoft introduced the Xbox 360 E in 2013. It borrows its styling from the Xbox One and keeps the same core hardware as the slim 360 S, with built-in Wi-Fi, a dedicated Kinect port and four USB ports. Video comes out over HDMI or a small composite AV jack. The E dropped the optical audio port and the older wide AV connector, so AV cables made for the original and S models will not fit. Storage depends on the unit, from 4 GB of flash to a hard drive.
Games and media it plays
The E plays Xbox 360 discs, from Halo 3 and Gears of War to Red Dead Redemption, Skyrim and Forza Motorsport 4. A select list of original Xbox games also runs through backward compatibility, and those need a hard drive installed. It plays DVD movies and audio CDs too. The Kinect port powers a Kinect sensor directly, with no extra adapter, for motion games like Kinect Sports and Dance Central.

Controllers, Kinect and USB accessories work. The power supply and AV cables from older models do not carry over, because the E uses its own power brick and a composite AV jack instead of the older wide AV port. Any standard HDMI cable works.
