A new region built around a new Pokédex
The main story initially centers on Pokémon introduced for Unova, giving routes, towns, rivals, and Gym battles a distinct identity from earlier generations. Team Plasma’s argument about people and Pokémon runs through the journey, while the legendary Reshiram anchors Black Version’s story and version-specific content. Seasons change monthly and alter scenery, encounters, and access in selected areas.
New battle formats on Nintendo DS
Triple Battles place three Pokémon on each side with position affecting which targets can be reached. Rotation Battles also use teams of three but let the active position turn before an action. The C-Gear supports local communication features for compatible systems. Original Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection services have closed, so current online matchmaking or trading is not promised.
The original Black Version cartridge
This pre-owned loose Nintendo DS cartridge is Pokémon Black Version, not Black 2 and not a Switch game. Progress is stored on the cartridge in one primary save file. The game card is the included item; the original case, manual, promotional inserts, console, or companion software are not part of the loose format.
