Two screens, one Arwing
Released in 2016, Star Fox Zero retells the Lylat System war against Andross with Fox, Falco, Peppy and Slippy. The game splits your view. The TV shows a wide chase view of the Arwing, while the Wii U GamePad shows the cockpit, and you aim by moving the GamePad itself using its gyroscope. It takes practice, but it lets you steer one way and fire another. Stages start over Corneria and move out through the rest of the Lylat System.
Walker, Landmaster and Gyrowing
The Arwing can transform into the Walker, a two-legged mode for moving through buildings and tight spaces. The Landmaster tank returns and can briefly lift off as the Gravmaster. The Gyrowing hovers slowly and lowers a small robot called Direct-i on a cable to hack terminals. Star Wolf shows up for dogfights, and branching paths and hidden routes reward replaying stages. A cooperative mode lets a second player handle the guns while the other flies.
