Craft Island comes unraveled
Nintendo and Good-Feel released Yoshi's Woolly World for Wii U in 2015. Kamek shows up on Craft Island and turns the Yoshis into balls of yarn, and the two Yoshis who escape set out to rescue the rest. Every stage looks handmade. Sponges become platforms, fabric backgrounds pull back to reveal secrets, and some walls unravel when you hit them. Yoshi still flutter-jumps and swallows enemies, but those enemies now come out as yarn balls you can throw to knit bridges or hit switches.
Mellow Mode, co-op and collectibles
Mellow Mode gives Yoshi wings and lets him flutter as long as you like, which makes the game friendly for younger players. A second player can join as another Yoshi for co-op, and the two can swallow and throw each other. Each stage hides Wonder Wool, flowers and stamp patches, and collecting all the Wonder Wool in a stage knits a new Yoshi pattern. Beads are the currency for Power Badges that change the rules for a stage.
