Managing your own shop

Nintendo released Style Savvy in North America in 2009. You start as a shop employee and are quickly handed the keys to your own boutique. Customers come in with requests, such as an outfit with a certain feel or a piece from a favorite label, and you pull items from your stock to match. Happy customers keep the register busy, and money from the counter goes back into new stock at the Buyer's Center, where every brand has its own booth.

Contests, salons and styling yourself

The town holds fashion contests in five tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and International), and each asks you to build an outfit to a theme, such as something a punk rocker would wear. Winning pushes your shop and your reputation forward. Away from the counter, you can change your own look at the Hair Salon and the Cosmetics Store. The game originally had Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection features for online contests and store visits, but that service ended in 2014.

Yes. Style Savvy plays on the DS, DS Lite, DSi and DSi XL and on every Nintendo 3DS and 2DS model. DS game cards are not region locked, and this card is the North American English release.

Do the online features still work?

No. Style Savvy's online contests and store visits used Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, which shut down in 2014. Everything else, including the boutique, the Buyer's Center and the in-game fashion contests, still plays normally.
